About ciaboga

The Ciaboga magazine was launched in the context of the 1924 Bandera de La Concha and was the first magazine specialized in rowing in Spain. The contents collected in each issue of Ciaboga constitute a highly important source of information for our maritime history. From the very first issue, its pages include the results of the Bandera de La Concha contested since the late 19th century, as well as interviews with legendary Basque rowers such as Kiriko, Aita Manuel, Matxet, and Manuel Olaizola.

The publication was edited for nearly 40 years, except for the period between 1935 and 1942, and had a brief third edition in 1992.
