The group or artists Formato Norte creates a mural based on La Concha rowing race in the exterior of the Euskal Itsas Museoa
The work is the result of the artistic residency carried out within #Kontxa1922 project.
Within the framework of #Kontxa1922, the Euskal Itsas Museoa and the Aquarium have organised this artistis residancy in which the contemporary artists from the studio "Formato Norte" have created a mural based on La Concha rowing race of 1922 and thus, value the maratime heritage and historical memory of the centenary of the so called "Regata Elkano"
The construction of a colective work
The work made by thes local artists consists of a collaborative work, in which the figurative language of Iñigo Sesma and the most abstact and pictorical language of Gabriel Coca and Mikel "Remak" are intervened. Resulting in a mixed-style and colorful mural. The visitors are invite to freely visit it in the exterior of the museum
